Worship Services
Two Sunday services are held in the Sanctuary each week. If needed, an elevator and a ramp are available to avoid the stairs to the front door
8:30 a.m. Informal Service with weekly Communion
Started circa 1995 by Reverend Jay Brown, the “Early Service” was originally a small group of members wanting weekly communion. This more informal service consisted of lots of singing led by Pastor Jay on his guitar, then his sermon, followed by communion.
The 8:30 service still holds to that basic format, but is more structured and the singing is now accompanied by a very talented piano player! Songs vary from Emmaus style songs like I’ll Fly Away and I Have the Joy to traditional hymns from the UMC red hymnal. Lay participation is a keystone of the 8:30 worship experience.
11:00 a.m. Traditional Service with Chancel Choir
The 11:00 service is a traditional service with a full
Chancel Choir. Music from a very talented pianist on a beautiful baby grand piano accompany the choir.
Communion is offered on the first Sunday of the month.
The worship service format includes a short children’s sermon and a weekly choir anthem.
