FUMC Sunday School Classes

Floresville United Methodist Church (FUMC) offers Sunday school classes for children, youth, and adults.  

All classes meet from 9:45 am -10:45 am on Sunday morning.

New members are always welcome!

Children’s Sunday School class

Meets in the sanctuary basement / Kinder-5th grade – Teacher Disa Strickler

The class offers the stories of the Bible and teach children about God’s love for them and everyone.  Activities that focus on these teachings are a part of each lesson. Weather permitting, the children spend a short time at the playground after their lesson.

Youth Sunday School class

Meets in the Fellowship Hall / 6th-12th grade – Teacher Tim Ezzell

Class Purpose – Colossians 1:28 (New International Version NIV)

28 He is the one we proclaim, admonishing and teaching everyone with all wisdom, so that we may present everyone fully mature in Christ.

 

Tim’s Promise to the Parents & Youth – Colossians 1:29 (New International Version NIV)

29 To this end I strenuously contend with all the energy Christ so powerfully works in me.

Using the New International Version (NIV) Life Application Bible, members will learn how to study the bible.

 

Cornerstone Sunday School class

Meets in the Fellowship Hall / 6th-12th grade – Teacher Tim Ezzell

The Cornerstone class is for those interested in serious Bible study as they go through a particular book of the Bible.  Using a multimedia approach as the occasion arises, Cornerstone focuses on the written verse with emphasis on the words in RED and the fellowship found in the Gospel.

Current study topic: The Book of Acts

Currently taking a break for the summer, the class will resume the end of August when everyone is back in school.  They will start on the Book of Acts.

Pathfinders Sunday School class

Meets in the Fellowship Hall / 6th-12th grade – Teacher Tim Ezzell
