FUMC Sunday School Classes
Floresville United Methodist Church (FUMC) offers Sunday school classes for children, youth, and adults.
All classes meet from 9:45 am -10:45 am on Sunday morning.
New members are always welcome!
Kingdom Kids
Kinder-5th grade
Meets in the lower level of the Sanctuary
The class teaches children about God’s character and God’s love for them and for everyone. Children will explore the Bible lessons through stories, crafts, games, and other activities. Weather permitting, the children spend a short time at the playground after their lesson.
Youth Sunday School Class
Meets in the Fish Room/ 6th-12th grade – Teachers Mandy Keylich and Pastor Jennifer
Class Purpose – Colossians 1:28 (New International Version NIV)
28 He is the one we proclaim, admonishing and teaching everyone with all wisdom, so that we may present everyone fully mature in Christ.
We will use the New International Version (NIV) Life Application Bible as we read and study the Bible together.
Begin With Love Adult Sunday School Class
Meets in the Crown Room next to the Church office – Facilitator Glenna Kelley
The Begin With Love class is for those interested in studying the scriptures and applying them in their daily lives. We use written study materials with accompanying multimedia resources and plenty of lively discussion. Begin With Love focuses on the evidence of the Gospel in the life of the believer. All are Welcome!

Pathfinders Adult Sunday School class
Meets in the lower level of the Sanctuary – Leader Barb Gates
The Pathfinders class was created in late 1989 as an alternative to the two existing adult classes at that time. Since they were literally “finding their pathway,” they decided to call themselves “Pathfinders”.
The Pathfinders Class is a diversified [ages and religious backgrounds] group, studying the scriptures while exploring Christian living in today’s world. The class participates in lively discussions of wide-ranging study topics, incorporating current issues and the joys and struggles
of Christian life. Discussions allow members to stretch and grow while considering Christian views from different perspectives.

Current study topic: For the rest of the summer, we are watching Season 1 of the YouTube series The Promised Land. This is a workplace-comedy series that tells the story of Moses in a way that humanizes the heroes, laughs at the absurd, and brings a fresh voice to stories that are thousands of years old but still relevant. In the Fall, we will start a more structured study of a Max Lucado book.
